Happy Call Pan Muah Chee

This Happy Call Pan Muah Chee is 'oh-so-soft' and it melted in my mouth.
It's so simple to prepare and it's cheap too!
No more awful and SUPER COSTLY muah chee from Pasar Malams! XD

Happy Call Pan Muah Chee Recipe
Ingredients:
(Yields portion for 1)

1/2 cup glutinous rice flour
slightly more than 1/3 cup of water
1 clove of shallot
2 or 3 tbsp of peanut powder

Steps:

The ingredients! I got the peanut powder from Sheng Shiong.

2 or 3 tbsp of peanut powder, according to your preference.
I had 3 tbsp.

Mince and fry the shallots on a heated Happy Call Pan till fragrant.
Use the LOWEST fire possible.

Pour the flour and water in. Mix well.

Stir till you get a gooey paste.

Cook for 3 minutes or till cooked.

A ball! (: I liked it when the sides browned a lil!

Dump the whole ball into the bowl of peanut powder and cut!
Mix well and serve immediately!

LOVE how easy and fuss free this dish is!
I'm pretty sure this recipe is here to stay! (:

  2. Do you mix the floor and the water together in a bowl first then pour into the pan?

  3. Hello! I did not mix the water and flour together prior to adding them to the pan but you may do so. (: I can imagine it bring easier to mix than in the pan now that you've mentioned it. Hope you'll enjoy this recipe! (:

  4. Before we add in the flour n water, do we need to remove the shallots and leave the oil for the flour-water mixture?

  5. Hello! You can keep it in the pan. It gives the muah Chee flavour and the shallots give it a nice small crunch!
